Kali Bowyer, the Woman alleging comic Chris Rock is the father of her teenage son is refusing to give up her paternity fight, despite a negative first DNA test. Rock and his wife Malaak released a statement, proclaiming victory in the legal battle and criticizing Bowyer for claiming Rock was the father. But Bower insists the proceedings are far from over. Bowyer says, "We are taking a second test, due to Rock's history of past paternity tests." Bowyer claims she is one of a handful of women who have brought paternity cases against Rock, and one European woman is still charging him with fathering her child, even though she lost her case in court. Bowyer also denies claims Rock made in his statement that she took money for selling her story to the tabloids earlier this year. She says, "No one made money from selling stories to the tabloids." Bowyer is upset that Rock and his wife went public with the findings of the first DNA test while there was a court order in place instructing both parties not to discuss the case with the media. Bowyer says, "There is a protective order regarding the results, so I will let my lawyers deal with the current situation. As for the second DNA test, Chris, myself and our lawyers have to meet for mediation within 20 days. If he agrees to take the DNA test then, I see him do it and it comes back negative, I'll move on." Bowyer claims she never planned to go public with her 10-year-old paternity battle but is desperate to get to the bottom of her 13-year-old son's health problems and feels sure the medical history of the boy's father will help her to get the answers she needs. She says, "I never said Chris Rock is 100 per cent the father of my child, but, due to the dates and the information I received from doctors when my son was born, I'm 99 per cent sure Chris Rock is the father. He looks exactly like Chris' brother Tony, it's a very distinctive resemblance."

A Mexican judge has ruled to close the criminal case against bounty hunter and TV reality star Duane 'Dog' Chapman, but state prosecutors have appealed the decision, officials said. In the ruling, Judge Jose Alberto Montes said the statute of limitations has expired on the case, said Guillermo Diaz, assistant prosecutor in Puerto Vallarta. Chapman was arrested by U.S. authorities on a Mexican warrant stemming from his 2003 capture of fugitive convicted rapist and Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster in Puerto Vallarta. Bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico. State prosecutors want to continue pursuing Mexico's request to have Chapman extradited, Diaz said. The courts are expected to rule on prosecutors' appeal in coming months. Chapman, who stars in the A&E television Hawaii-based show 'Dog the Bounty Hunter,'? expressed relief at Montes' decision. "The weight has been lifted off my chest,"? he said. "Viva la Mexico!"

Owen Wilson has released a statement asking for privacy after he was hospitalized Sunday. Wilson was taken by ambulance from his home in Santa Monica, California to the emergency room at Los Angeles' St. John's Hospital at midday on Sunday. The Santa Monica Police issued a statement: "On Sunday Aug. 26. 2007 at 12:10 PM, officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to a medical assistance call from the Santa Monica Fire Department. The person was transported to a local hospital where they are being treated." Citing medical privacy laws, they would not release any additional information, nor would they comment on why Wilson was transported. Tabloids are reporting that Wilson tried to kill himself. Sources claim he cut his wrists and took a number of pills, and was discovered by a family member, who alerted authorities. But Wilson makes no mention of the controversy in his statement. He says, "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time." His family was seen at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where Wilson was reportedly transfered to, on Sunday night. A hospital spokesman reports Wilson is in a "good condition."

Kid Rock has been ordered by Las Vegas police to appear in court next month following his attack on Tommy Lee at the MTV Video Music Awards. Rock was ejected from the VMA ceremony in front of thousands of fans after punching Lee. Although neither star was arrested at the time of the incident, both were later questioned by local authorities with Rock receiving a citation for the assault. A spokesman for the Las Vegas Police Department says, "A little after 8:00pm, we received a call that a disturbance had occurred at the MTV Video Music Awards. We had a lot of officers working in and around the awards so they got there fairly quickly. We determined that the altercation was between Kid Rock and Tommy Lee. After our investigation, Kid Rock did receive a citation for misdemeanor battery. Everyone involved was interviewed." Rock will appear in court in the next three to Five weeks, where he faces a maximum sentence of six months behind bars. Both Lee and Kid Rock have been married to Pamela Anderson, but it is unclear whether she was the cause of the fight.

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson pleaded guilty to charges of drug possession and driving under the influence stemming from a traffic stop last year as he was leaving a nightclub. Tyson quietly acknowledged to a judge that he had cocaine and was impaired when he was stopped for driving erratically in Scottsdale, Arizona on Dec. 29. He pleaded guilty to a single Felony count of cocaine possession and a misdemeanor DUI count and faces up to four years and three months in prison when he is sentenced Nov. 19. A felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and a second misdemeanor DUI charge were dropped, according to the terms of a plea agreement. Defense lawyer David Chesnoff said Tyson has been clean and sober for eight months. "It's obvious this was a crime he was committing against himself," Chesnoff said. Police stopped Tyson after he had spent the evening at the Scottsdale club. An officer said he saw Tyson wiping a white substance off the dashboard of his black BMW, and that his speech was slurred. Authorities said they found bags of cocaine in Tyson's pocket and in his car. Tyson told officers later that he used cocaine "whenever I can get my hands on it," and that he preferred to smoke it in Marlboro cigarettes with the tobacco pulled out, according to court documents. He also told police that he used marijuana that day and was taking the antidepressant Zoloft, the documents state. Since his arrest, Tyson checked himself into an in-patient treatment program for what his lawyer called "various addictions." Defense lawyer David Chesnoff had said previously that he had try to keep the boxer out of prison.

Schmidt was under house arrest after agreeing to plead guilty to a $1 million extortion fiasco, using Tom Cruise's stolen wedding photos. "Authorities went to Schmidt's Phoenix home after a tracking device on him had not moved and he hadn't checked in," said police spokesman, Lt. Anthony Lopez. Schmidt was facing up to two years in prison after he had agreed to a plea agreement in the case. His attorney, Nancy Kardon, said she had spoken to Schmidt earlier this week and was preparing for an Oct. 11 hearing in federal court where he would enter his formal guilty plea to attempted extortion. She said she had planned to ask for probation. "I was greatly saddened by his loss and I found him to be a very kind man," Kardon said. He was contacted by Marc Lewis Gittleman who had obtained the wedding photos after recovering them from a damaged computer hard drive brought in for repair by a photographer. Schmidt emailed Cruise with samples of the photos, and asked for more than $1 million to keep them off the market. Schmidt had brokered some of Hollywood's most infamous deals in recent years, including the Dustin Diamond sex tape, Tonya Harding honeymoon sex tape, a Colin Farrell sex tape and other scandals.

There is still no verdict in the murder case against record producer Phil Spector. He faces 15 years to life in prison if convicted. Deliberations for the jury of nine men and three women began after Five months of testimony and continue with no verdict. Prosecutors sought to show during the trial that Spector had a history of threatening women. The defense contended Clarkson killed herself. Just before sending the case to the jury, Fidler slapped a gag order on Spector and his wife. Fidler said Rachelle Spector had sent e-mails to reporters pointing out a TV interview she had given, despite the fact that Fidler had warned her against such activity. Fidler also admonished Spector and Clarkson's family not to speak to the press during deliberations.

It is cracking and breaking," James Garemore said. "They are bringing this lawsuit against me, and all I was doing was trying to maintain safety here." Michael J. McDermott, Travolta's attorney, said Garemore's comments about the runway not being safe for large airplanes is incorrect. "It's spin in order to cover his butt because he knows that he is in big trouble for doing what he did, and we intend to establish that," McDermott said. Travolta built an $8 million home in Ocala and has continually used the runway without incident, the lawsuit said. It also claims Travolta was assured he would be able to use the airport.

The Judge warned Tyson that if he violates the terms of the probation, he still faces the prison time. Tyson was arrested Dec. 29, 2006, after a traffic stop after he had spent the evening at a Scottsdale club. A police officer said he saw Tyson wipe a white substance off the dashboard of the car and that Tyson's speech was slurred. Authorities said they found drugs in Tyson's pocket and car. Prosecutors had asked Abrams to send Tyson to prison for one year. Shane Krauser, a deputy county district attorney, said Tyson has a long arrest history including such offenses as rape, assault and a 2004 brawl in a New York City hotel. "Mr. Tyson is a repeat offender," Krauser said. "His criminal history is substantial because it contains mostly violent offenses." The prosecutor said Tyson never sought help until he was arrested and that he should be treated like any other defendant and not receive any preferential treatment because he had so many resources at this disposal.
